CHRGD is an independent EV charging network provider. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the CHRGD app or our charging stations, why we collect it, and how we use and protect it.

When you create a CHRGD account or use our app and charging stations, we may collect:

• Account information: Name, email address, phone number.
• Authentication data: One-time passcodes (OTP) delivered via WhatsApp through our integration with Pivotal messaging services.
• Location data: Your approximate or precise location (with permission) to show nearby stations and navigate you to them.
• Wallet and payment data: Top-up amounts, transaction history, and payment method tokens (we do not store full card numbers, payments are processed by a third-party payment gateway).
• Charging session data: Station ID, connector used, session start/end times, energy delivered (kWh), and cost.
• Device and usage data: Device type, operating system, app version, and usage logs for diagnostic purposes.

2. How We Use Your Data

• To operate your CHRGD account and authenticate your identity.
• To process charging sessions, deduct wallet credit, and generate invoices.
• To send you session notifications, wallet alerts, and service communications.
• To improve the reliability and performance of our network and app.
• To comply with legal and regulatory obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

We work with the following third-party services in delivering the CHRGD platform:

• Payment gateway: Card top-ups and transactions are processed by a PCI-DSS compliant payment provider. We do not store raw card data.
• Pivotal / WhatsApp OTP: Phone number verification and one-time passcodes are delivered via Pivotal's WhatsApp messaging integration. Your phone number is shared with Pivotal for this purpose.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with sub-processors required to deliver the service (as listed above), or where required by law or regulatory authority.

5. Data Security

We use industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including TLS encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. Please contact us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
